Making A Purchase

Making a purchase is simplicity itself. Just browse our categories, and click on any items that you wish to buy and they will automatically be inserted into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to checkout your order. The page will then be redirected to the SecureTrading transaction page to complete your card order in complete security.

SecureTrading accept Visa, Switch and Mastercard.

Consumers have the right to cancel the contract within 14 working days without reason. In the case of goods, the 14 days start from the day after the goods are received. Please refer to our Returns Policy shown below for full information about your rights to cancel and/or return

Delivery And Handling

We believe that ordering online should be as painless as possible - as such we make every effort to keep the cost of delivery to a maximum of £25.00 + VAT, (if more than one item is purchased as one shipment, £25.00 + VAT will cover that shipment) for mainland UK*.

All goods must be inspected for content, defects and damage at the time of delivery. Claims for damaged goods may not be accepted after the goods have been signed for by the customer. In the event that the delivery is made by a third party such as a carrier, notification must be made to the carrier immediately and to us within 24 hours. Claims for damaged goods cannot be accepted once the goods have been installed or used. Delivery assistance- in order to offer a competitive service, and to keep our costs down, our vehicles are manned by the driver only. We would therefore ask you to provide suitable help in unloading heavy or bulky items.

*Orders from customers in Northern Ireland and remote parts of Scotland will, in most cases, be subject to an additional shipping and handling fee available by calling 07919 596798. Delivery timings are intended as a guide only and are based on items being in stock. Non-stock items may take longer to deliver. We suggest that you don't book a plumber to install items until after they have been delivered and checked for damage.

Checking Goods For Damage:

For all deliveries you must check the goods for damage before signing the delivery note, if you sign for the goods then you are accepting that the goods were delivered in good condition and later claims for damage cannot be considered.

If a third party signs on your behalf please advise them of the above and that you have to accept responsibility for any loss or damage if they sign on your behalf and fail to check the condition properly. You agree to indemnify us in full for any losses as a result of signing for goods that are unchecked.

Delivery Schedule:

Most items are normally delivered by the carrier within 5 to 28 days after order. The time depends on the availability of the item and shipping from the supplier's warehouse.

If we are unable to dispatch the goods within 30 days, the consumer will be informed immediately and will be given the choice of a later delivery date or cancelling the order completely and receiving a full refund of any monies paid. We cannot accept any liability for delivery delays howsoever caused.

Back Orders

If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be contacted with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.

VAT Charges

For orders made from the UK or the European Union, 17.5% VAT is added. This charge is already included in the prices shown on this website.

All transactions on this site use the Worldpay transaction company. The checkout facility on this website is handled by the secure servers at Worldpay who are internationally regarded as one of the largest, most respected and most secure on-line transaction organisations in the world. Worldpay encrypt the personal information and card details you enter into code so that they may be securely transmitted over the internet to your bank. They are not held in clear text form on ours or any other web site.

If you are still concerned about the security of issuing your card details on line then it is possible to pay by alternative methods: you can send us your order on-line and we will ring you to take your credit card details, or, you may fax us with the order - whichever you are happy with.

Privacy Policy

The Bathroom Sanctuary keep track of the contents of your shopping cart once you have selected an item. Information from emails and the information you give us at the time of ordering is stored both physically and electronically by ourselves. All information is collected lawfully and in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. We do not sell, pass on or disclose details of customers to any other parties. With the exception of order status reports, we do not currently make unsolicited contact with customers before or after they have placed an order. Information is retained electronically in order to supply a better service to our returning customers.

We do not send random marketing emails to personal addresses (Spam).

Returns Policy

Customers have the right to cancel the contract within 14 working days without reason, the 14 days starting from the day after the goods are received. Any damaged goods must be notified to us within 48 hours of delivery.

For any item to be returned and receive a refund, goods must be returned unused, in perfect re-saleable condition, including original undamaged packaging and with the original delivery note. Please do not write on the packaging (ie our address) as this will make the goods no longer resaleable. Refunds will cover the costs of the goods only, and will not include any delivery or collection costs, which will be charged to your credit card. Further delivery charges will be the actual costs of delivery, which depends on the weight of the goods ordered, and in most cases will be higher than the original delivery cost charged on the order. (The average pallet Costs £55.00 to ship out)

If a customer wishes to change goods (ie orders the wrong handed bath) he we will be charge for the new item at site prices and will only be refunded when the goods have been inspected and passed fit for sale again.

If a customer intends to make a return they must contact us in writing first, either by letter or by e-mail to julia@thebathroomsanctuary.co.uk; we will e-mail a return authorization number.

We cannot accept responsibility for lost or damaged returns and therefore recommend that the customer uses an insured carrier. The customer is responsible for the cost of any returns and future deliveries.

It is important that you thoroughly inspect any goods you receive at the time of delivery, taking extra care to check for cosmetic damage or blemishes before installing the item, and contact us as soon as possible should you find any fault. We will endeavour to replace or repair any faulty goods as quickly as possible.

This does not affect your statutory rights as a customer.

Pricing Errors

If an item has been priced incorrectly on the website, The Bathroom Sanctuary is not honour bound to sell at that price.

Complaints Procedure

Complaints will be acknowledged within 5 working days. A likely timescale for resolving the dispute will be determined and the consumer will be kept informed about progress. The complaints procedure is open to review to ensure that it is working well.
